16th Swiss Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Days 2027
March 4-5, 2027, Kongress-Zentrum Bern - Registration will open soon
Think fast, decide wisely, act together!
Welcome to the 16th STACS Days in Bern!
This year’s motto, “Think fast, decide wisely, act together!”, captures the essence of surgical acute care. We are often required to make critical decisions under time pressure, with incomplete information and limited resources. Knowing when to intervene, when to wait, and when to challenge established practice can make all the difference for our patients.
Over the two STACS days, we will explore these challenges from different perspectives: from the initial assessment of the acute surgical patient and the role of new technologies such as AI, to difficult decisions in trauma care, the management of major bleeding, and lessons from unusual and complex cases. We will also discuss communication, teamwork, and the importance of questioning established dogmas.
Most importantly, STACS is about bringing disciplines together. Emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other professionals all contribute essential expertise to the care of our patients.
We wish you all two stimulating STACS days of lively discussions, practical learning, and valuable exchanges with colleagues.
Welcome to the 16th STACS Days!
As every year, we would like to encourage you to attend our Eat, Meet, and Greet event March 4, 2027, 18:00-23:00.
